Perfect Partners is a Charitable Trust based in the Greater Auckland Region that was established to train Disability Assist Dogs for people not currently supported by existing Disability Assist Dog organisations in New Zealand. We are focusing on people with neurological conditions including autism, alzheimers, acquired brain injury, and certain psychiatric conditions but will also work with other individuals.

Touching base
For the past few weeks things have been settling into a nice routine for Tana, his handler, and the rest of the team involved with the Perfect Partners Assistance Dogs Trust.
It has been a busy few months with Tana arriving in the country, with some of the members of the Trust "appearing" on national radio, and Tana meeting Houdini (our Ambassadog) for the first time. For the past two weekends Tana has gone for walks with members of the Trust, getting a feel for the country and learning to understand the Kiwi accent (of people and dogs). We hope that we can introduce Tana and Toby shortly as they are both of a similar age and it will be nice to get a picture of the two of them together to show everybody.
We have been updating our Facebook page with comments and photographs over the past few weeks, and this week we have updated our Flick photo albums as well. We all hope that you enjoy the images of the dogs relaxing and interacting - while they have some serious work to do, they are also dogs that need to cut loose and have some fun while socialising with dogs of all ages, shapes, and sizes.
